Join us in asking Governor Tom Wolf to release capital budget funds to rehabilitate and open Hereford Manor.

Hereford Manor Lake is not only important to anglers, boaters and outdoor enthusiasts, but it’s also a key component of our local economy. Improvements made to the facility will help to grow business and employment opportunities in our region.

Hereford Manor consisted of two popular lakes that were formed by dams created from old strip mine materials in the 1950s. These dams were considered high-hazard, unsafe and were removed in 2012. Restoration of this facility will require new construction to meet current dam safety standards.

With designs in place for the project, the facility would be an ideal candidates for the investment of capital dollars from a program such as a new Growing Greener 3 initiative or other program to reinvest in infrastructure.

To jumpstart such an endeavor, we are asking Gov. Wolf to release already-allocated capital budget funding to help with the costs associated with the design and construction of new dams at Hereford Manor Lake.

If you support the re-opening of Hereford Manor Lake, lend your voice to ask Gov. Wolf to release capital budget funding to rehabilitate the facility by signing the petition below.
